Education Services

ILJN seeks to educate immigrants and the broader public on the details and realities of the U.S. immigration system. The immigration bureaucracy is very complex, and everyone needs clear facts in order to understand the realities and challenges facing immigrants in the United States. We can help you learn about the different types of visas available or understand the data on current immigration numbers.

It is very important for immigrants seeking to advance their status in the USA to constantly learn all the immigration processes available to them. In particular, immigrants should know their rights when dealing with an immigration official. Read this pamphlet and always call your attorney as soon as possible.

Advocacy Services

ILJC will advocate on behalf of all immigrants, either individually to assist and support them in their needs, or collectively by supporting immigration public policy that deals with immigrants in a just and fair way. ILJC will not advocate for any political party or candidate, but will follow the guidelines on public policy on immigration that is espoused by the United Methodist Church Social Principles. ILJC will respond to instances of injustice or actions that are harmful to immigrants.
