North Carolina Immigration Law & Justice Center is Closed

After almost five years serving immigrants across North Carolina, we regret to announce that the board of directors has voted to dissolve North Carolina Immigration Law & Justice Center.

This difficult decision was made in light of ongoing financial challenges that have prevented us from sustaining our work. It is especially painful to do this at a time when affordable legal services are desperately needed by immigrant communities across the state.

We are immensely grateful to our dedicated staff, volunteers, generous donors, and steadfast community partners who have supported our mission to provide affordable legal services to low-income immigrants across North Carolina since 2020. We are committed to ensuring a responsible transition for our remaining clients and an ethical process of dissolution.

We’ve provided a list of reputable attorneys and organizations under our Resources page.

Best,

Joshua N. James
Chair, Board of Directors
